Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media, Communications Specialist to help lead and manage our brand’s voice across all digital channels. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong background in digital communications, content creation, and audience engagement. You’ll work closely with a small, agile team to strategize and execute compelling social media campaigns, craft high-impact communications, and shape the organization’s public image through consistent, on-brand messaging.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with the development and execution a comprehensive social media and communications strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Manage and grow social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
• Create, schedule, and publish engaging multimedia content (written, graphic, video, and AI-generated) across platforms.
• Design and edit short-form video content using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar.
• Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Jasper, Canva Magic Write, etc.) to streamline content ideation, generation, and personalization.
• Monitor trends, conversations, and competitor activity to capitalize on opportunities and stay ahead of the curve.
• Write clear, persuasive, and on-brand copy for magazines, press releases, newsletters, blog posts, and digital marketing campaigns.
• Analyze performance metrics and prepare monthly reports with actionable insights to improve engagement and reach.
• Work closely with leadership and other departments to ensure alignment across all communications.
• Manage social media ad campaigns using platforms like Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, and TikTok Ads Manager.
• Engage with community and followers, responding to comments, messages, and opportunities in a timely, professional manner.
Required Skills and Experience
• 1-3 years of experience in social media management, communications, or digital marketing.
• Demonstrated ability to grow and engage an online audience across multiple platforms.
• Portfolio of past content, campaigns, and/or brand storytelling examples.
• Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, Later).
• Video creation/editing expertise (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, Descript, Canva Video, etc.).
• Familiarity with graphic design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma.
• Experience using AI tools for content creation and optimization.
• Deep understanding of branding principles and the ability to maintain brand voice and visual identity.
• Knowledge of SEO, email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact), and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Insights).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a fast paced environment with a small team.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in brand development or rebranding projects.
• Background in PR, journalism, or digital storytelling.
• Knowledge of social listening tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Meltwater).
• Photography skills or experience in directing visual content shoots.
• Familiarity with web content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Webflow).
